Our Story
Donato Bratty arrived in Canada from Italy with nothing but determination. Like so many immigrants of his generation, he started with what he knew: carpentry. Building two or three houses a year in the early days, Donato laid the foundation for what would become one of Canada's most successful development companies.
His son Rudy expanded the vision, transforming Remington from a homebuilder into a comprehensive development company. In 2024, Rudy Bratty received the Order of Ontario—the province's highest civilian honour—in recognition of his contributions to community building and philanthropy. The Globe and Mail has called him "The Man Who Built Toronto."
